With over 40 years of stability and growth, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and grow with us.Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes within a production facility, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by developing new systems, equipment, and procedures, analyzing production data, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations and product quality.Key ResponsibilitiesWork independently and collaboratively as a team to develop and implement innovative ideas to optimize all phases of the production process, improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.Review jobs to ensure processes are optimized by applying proper tooling, fixtures, and programs for CNC equipment.Work with vendors to bring in new technology to enhance manufacturing processes and reduce manufacturing costs/lead times.Support continuous improvement initiatives from a software-driven outlook (e.g., CAM templates, advanced setup sheets and manufacturing work instructions, streamlining CAM programming, etc.)Analyze drawings, CAD data, parts lists, and other technical specifications to properly determine the scope of work and ensure that parts meet specified tolerances.Participate in programming, tool selection, and machining processes, ensuring the production of exceptional final products.Provide analysis and suggestions for Quality investigations and corrective actions.Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.Provide inputs to the quoting process related to material specification and manufacturing process steps.Troubleshoot in-process manufacturing and part design issues by providing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to optimize manufacturability and reduce costs.May train, coach or mentor less-experienced engineers.RequirementsBachelor's degree in engineering, with course of study in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Technology. May consider seven (7) years of directly relevant experience in lieu of degree.At least three (3) years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace.Must be knowledgeable of CNC software, such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, and/or Vericut.Strong skills for interface and collaboration within Engineering and with operational teams.Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel for data analysis.Must have strong project management skills that include defining scope of work, outcomes and setting, tracking and reporting performance to meet expectations.Must have strong experience with continuous improvement and problem solving, preferably Six Sigma and Lean.Solid grasp of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and demonstrated ability to apply them to precision machining.Experience in machine tool probing to ensure a higher level of accuracy in cutting applications.Demonstrated success working in fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Knowledgeable in coding with an understanding of NC parameters and macro developments.Must be able to work overtime to meet project deadlines and to support operational processes, including weekends and holidays.Work Environment:Frequent walking, standing, stooping and bending on the manufacturing floor.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.OtherRelocation is not available for this position.Remote work or Hybrid work schedule is not available for this position.Delta Precision companies are Equal Opportunity Employers dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across our organization.
