Our Hospital Offers 24/7 emergency and critical care services Eight-doctor veterinary team Small animal general practice and emergency medicine Emergency diagnostics, surgery, and hospitalized patient care Dedicated team members across day, swing, and overnight shifts Collaborative environment focused on communication and patient care Our team works closely together to manage a variety of emergency and critical care cases while supporting one another through busy shifts. What You'll Do As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside our veterinarians and support team to provide hands-on emergency and hospitalized patient care. Responsibilities May Include Assist veterinarians with emergency examinations, triage, diagnostics, and treatments Monitor emergency, critical, and hospitalized patients Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement Administer medications, fluid therapy, and prescribed treatments Collect and process laboratory samples and run in-house diagnostics Take and process digital radiographs Monitor anesthesia and support emergency surgical procedures Monitor patient vital signs, pain levels, and recovery Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate concerns to the medical team Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation Communicate patient updates during shift changes Provide compassionate nursing care to emergency and hospitalized patients Collaborate with teammates to maintain efficient patient flow throughout the hospital What We're Looking For Previous hands-on Veterinary Technician experience required Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) encouraged to apply Emergency, urgent care, or critical care experience preferred Strong foundational veterinary nursing skills, including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, diagnostics, and patient monitoring Surgery and anesthesia experience is a plus Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced veterinary hospital Ability to remain calm, organized, and adaptable during emergency situations Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, compassionate, and committed to high-quality patient care Schedule Day shifts available Swing/evening shifts available Overnight shifts available Four 10-hour shifts preferred Three 12-hour shifts may be considered based on hospital needs Scheduling needs include weekday and weekend coverage Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications Overnight shift differential for eligible hours Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Paid holidays Flexible continuing education support License reimbursement 75% employee discount on veterinary services 50% discount on pharmacy items Why Join I-20 Animal Hospital?
