The Vice President of Strategic Initiatives will serve as a trusted partner to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), acting as both a strategic thought partner and execution leader across a wide range of high-impact initiatives.

This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role designed for someone who can take limited direction, quickly synthesize complex challenges, and drive initiatives forward across multiple functions.

You will help bring structure to challenges, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring key priorities are executed effectively across the organization.

This role requires a unique blend of program management, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution, often shifting between all three in real time.

Critical measures of success include:

• Increased clarity, prioritization, and momentum across the CSO's key initiatives
• Consistent execution of cross-functional projects from concept through completion
• Reduction in bottlenecks through improved stakeholder alignment and decision-making cadence
• Strong visibility into initiative progress, risks, and outcomes across leadership
• Establishment of repeatable processes and frameworks that improve organizational efficiency over time

Required qualifications include:

• 10+ years of experience in strategy, government relations, or payer contracting
• Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives at the executive level
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree (MBA, MHA, MPH) preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing materials for executive and legislative audiences.
• Strong program management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Experience working directly with senior leadership or executives on high-impact initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy and minimal direction
• Experience building processes, frameworks, or operational structure in ambiguous environments
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to the Asheville, NC area and operate in a highly in-person environment
