This 266-bed Level II trauma center operates with 32 cardiovascular ICU beds and maintains modern cardiac catheterization laboratories to support a full range of interventional cardiology services. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination, with dedicated nursing staff and clinical support in place to facilitate complex interventional cardiology cases. Clinical infrastructure and established protocols are structured to accommodate both scheduled day shift coverage and 24-hour call responsibilities on an on-site basis.

Kentucky offers clinicians on assignment a range of regional attractions and year-round activities suited to diverse interests. The state is recognized for its bourbon heritage, live music venues, and a food scene that draws visitors throughout the year. Notable destinations include the Louisville Mega Cavern, Keeneland, and the Kentucky Horse Park, alongside professional and minor league sports venues, outdoor activities, cultural events, and public art that contribute to the region's appeal.

The interventional cardiologist will provide inpatient cardiac care including cardiac catheterizations, cardioversions, TEE/TTE, and TAVR and Watchman procedures, with 12 hours of onsite presence per day and 24-hour call coverage structured on a 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM schedule. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, encompassing day shift and full 24-hour call responsibilities. All patient documentation must be completed using the EPIC EMR system.
