This Columbus CPA firm has been around for more than 80 years and works with some surprisingly large clients for a team of its size, particularly across real estate, construction and family offices. They're also turning work away at the moment as they don't want to overload the existing team, so they're looking for another Tax Senior to come in and grow with them. You'll get a good mix of preparing and reviewing tax work, working directly with clients and learning from people who've been with the firm for years. It's mainly a tax practice, with some compilation and review work mixed in, so it's a good option if you want to keep building a broad public accounting background rather than getting pushed into one very specific corner of tax. And because it's a smaller team, there's nowhere near as much distance between you and the Partners. You'll get to know your clients, have your work noticed and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop. There's room to progress too. One of the senior Partners is getting closer to retirement and the firm knows they need good people coming through behind the current leadership. That doesn't mean you need to have your entire career mapped out already. If you want to progress, there's opportunity. If you simply want interesting work, good people around you and a stable firm, that works too.
