UPSTREAM AI/ML engineer with Gen AI Exposure

- Location: Can be remote in Central Time Zone. Will need to visit the Bentonville, AR Home Office for the first 2 weeks and will also visit periodically, as needed.

We need the following AI resources in order to meet Kairos (project name), Upstream timeline and scope: We will take the highest skill level in each role that we can afford- at least Senior DS if not Staff DS 4 FTE Upstream AI resource requirements
- Data Scientist with 3+ years of ML and Optimization (Mathematical Optimization, Mixed Linear/Integer programming) experience.
- Data Scientist with 3+ years of ML experience, including Agentic AI.
- Operations Research Scientist with 5+ years of scalable optimization experience.
- ML Engineer with 4+ years of experience in ML, deployment, and production engineering.

- Programming: Python (must-have), SQL
- Optimization Tools: PuLP, CPLEX
- AI/ML: Machine Learning, GenAI (ChatGPT, Mistral), LLMs
- Other Tools: MS Copilot, Element (optimization), Wibey

- Operations Research & Optimization
- Forecasting & Mathematical Modeling
- Develop and implement ML/AI models and optimization solutions
- Work on large-scale optimization problems (Linear/Mixed Integer Programming)
- Build and test data-driven solutions with strong coding practices
- Leverage GenAI tools for automation, coding, and productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively
- Python coding (data structures, ML-related problems)
- SQL queries and data handling
- Problem-solving and logical reasoning
- Strong coding and testing skills
- Familiarity with auto-coding / AI-assisted development
- Good communication and collaboration skills
