Job Title Building Custodian – Education in the Unorganized Territory, Kingman Job Summary This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors by ensuring the school remains sanitary and ready for daily operations. Responsibilities Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. Clean the school on a daily basis to provide a safe and healthy environment for staff and students. Use and operate cleaning equipment associated with high‑volume traffic facilities. Perform minor maintenance and repairs to plumbing, heating, and electrical systems and fixtures. Climb to the height of the school roof or ceiling where necessary. Carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds independently. Communicate and work positively with staff and pupils. Follow oral and written instructions to perform a variety of manual tasks in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Qualifications Experience and training that demonstrate a basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance and repair. Knowledge of standards for cleanliness of grounds, buildings, and equipment. Knowledge of school building codes and laws. Knowledge of precautions necessary to safeguard personnel, property, and equipment. Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in janitorial work. Ability to climb to the height of the school roof or ceiling. Ability to use and/or operate cleaning equipment associated with high‑volume traffic facilities. Ability to maintain standards for cleaning building and grounds. Ability to communicate and work in a positive manner with staff and pupils. Ability to carry objects weighing up to 70 pounds. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of buildings and equipment. Employment Details Grade / Admin Unit: 10 / Operation/Maintenance Job Class Code: 1013 Salary: $15.10 – $19.92 per hour Position Number: 014280037 Position Type: Part‑Time (20 hours weekly) Location: Kingman Open: June 29, 2026 – Close: July 14, 2026 This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.
