Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer

Salary: $165,000 - 195,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• We require 8+ years of software development experience.
• We need 5+ years of Salesforce platform engineering experience, including DevOps practices.
• We require hands-on expertise developing in Apex, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript.
• We need the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and accurately.
• Preferred: Salesforce Platform Developer I and II certifications.
• Preferred: Experience with containerization and orchestration, such as Docker, for development environments.
• Preferred: Experience with iPaaS middleware platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, or Informatica.
• Preferred: Experience integrating with third-party APIs.
• Preferred: Advanced Git workflow management and branching strategy implementation.
• Preferred: Experience setting up monitoring and alerting for Salesforce applications and integrations.
• Preferred: Experience working directly with business-facing stakeholders outside engineering.
• Preferred: Experience in Agile teams and DevOps-driven environments.

• We lead and own Salesforce development requests and platform enhancements.
• We build SOQL, Apex classes, triggers, and custom user interfaces using Lightning Web Components and JavaScript.
• We use Salesforce APIs through REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and platform events.
• We design scalable solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Consumer Goods Cloud, and Marketing Cloud Next.
• We design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated Salesforce deployments.
• We define and manage Git branching approaches, including feature, develop, staging, and production workflows.
• We create and support scratch orgs for development, testing, and training with Salesforce DX.
• We implement automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end coverage.
• We manage deployment automation across dev, staging, and production orgs with controlled promotion paths.
• We integrate Salesforce with external systems using middleware and cloud or ERP platforms.
• We produce architectural documentation and review solutions against technical designs.
• We enforce PMD rulesets, code review practices, and coding standards.
• We configure automated code analysis and quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.
• We monitor and improve platform performance and scalability.
• We own release cycles, environment promotion, and deployment scheduling.
• We partner with Production Support to deliver fixes and enhancements promptly.
• We assist Salesforce Administration with configuration and maintenance when needed.
• We translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• We align development work with scope, timing, priorities, and business goals.
• We collaborate with internal and external technical experts to deliver solutions.
• We work in an Agile environment and may provide after-hours or weekend on-call support when required.
