Water Law Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a junior- to mid-level Water Law Associate to join its Salt Lake City, UT office. This role involves comprehensive work in Utah water law, including administrative proceedings, litigation, transactions, construction projects, real property disputes, and governance of special districts and irrigation companies. Opportunities for land use and zoning work are also available. Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience and a strong interest in these areas. Duties Engage in water rights administrative proceedings and litigation Handle water rights transactions and related construction projects Resolve real property disputes, including easements Participate in governance of special districts and irrigation companies Contribute to land use and zoning projects Requirements 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in water law Demonstrated interest in environmental and energy law Education Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials. Certifications Admission to the Utah state bar.
