Meherrin River Forest Products
Meherrin River Forest Products is seeking a detail-oriented Office/Accounting Administrator to support our sawmill operations. This position is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, banking activities, and general office administration.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and prepare payments
- Create customer invoices and post payments
- Review and submit weekly payroll information
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks
- Prepare daily bank deposits and banking transactions
- Reconcile accounts and vendor statements
- Assist with trucking compliance records, IFTA, and IRP filings
- Answer phones and greet visitors
- Maintain organized files and office supplies
- Provide administrative support to management
Qualifications
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in manufacturing, trucking, forestry, or sawmill operations is a plus
