As a Correctional Security Officer Unarmed - Driving Role in Columbia, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Bring strong communication, teamwork, and integrity to a role that supports people-first service in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government correctional location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and public sector personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, housing-related areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points, screen visitor and/or vehicle entry activity as directed, and document security-related events, policy violations, and unusual observations in detailed written reports.
• Support daily operations by observing movement throughout the location, following post orders, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
