Develops and monitors individualized financial action plans.Collects and analyzes data for evaluation of program needs, service delivery, and client outcomes. Conducts qualitative and quantitative evaluations of program activities to determine effectiveness and efficiency.Coordinates financial empowerment services with those of other divisions/units within the Treasurer’s Office. Makes recommendations for changes in policies, procedures, and program directives to supervision.Assists residents facing mortgage foreclosure and/or tax foreclosure by explaining available programs, payment plans, and timelines, and coordinating with internal staff and external partners.Coordinates program services with those of financial institutions, housing agencies, legal aid organizations, and other community service providers at local, state or federal levels.Assists in developing and delivering financial education workshops and materials to be used in community settings, including topics such as budgeting, credit, debt management, and homeownership.Helps design and carry out special pilot or research projects as indicated by community financial needs or new financial counseling practices and technologies.Implements and maintains detailed client service records and program data as required by department/division administration, state agencies, or funding entities.May respond to urgent client financial crises, including imminent foreclosure situations.Participates in planning program budgets and assists with preparation of reports, grant applications, and program documentation.Assists with tracking financial counseling program performance metrics and outcomes for reporting purposes.Assists with planning and managing Smart Finance Academy events, webinars and newsletters.Conduct taxpayer assistance meetings to assist with tax foreclosure prevention.IMPORTANT NOTE: The primary purpose of this job description is to set a fair and equitable salary range for this job classification.
