Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is needed at a healthcare facility located in Louisville, Kentucky. This position involves providing complex post-operative recovery care, requiring strong ICU-level skills, including ventilator management, multiple drips, and spinal drains. Candidates must bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Louisville, Kentucky
• Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse; certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); at least 2 years of experience in PACU or equivalent high-acuity setting; complex post-operative recovery experience; strong ICU level skills such as ventilator management, multiple drips, spinal drains, and assessments; ability to be self-driven, flexible, and willing to learn; proficiency with Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, exact times depend on requisition, with no scheduled weekend rotations; on-call may be required during holidays; schedule is made in 6-week increments to meet department needs.
• Additional Information: The nurse will float between Pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery areas, as well as adjacent recovery areas, based on department needs.
• Float: Yes, will float between Pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II, as well as adjacent recovery areas.
• Other notes: Scrub color provided; free parking available; must have the skills listed above.
