What Makes an AFF Risk Analyst

The Risk Analyst helps identify, assess, and mitigate business risks through data analysis, reporting, and risk monitoring. This role supports informed decision-making by providing actionable insights, developing reports, and identifying opportunities to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Develop risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
• Monitor risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies
• Automate reporting processes using Power BI and other analytics tools
• Maintain and improve databases, reporting solutions, and analytical models
• Partner with business teams to support compliance and risk management initiatives

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Analytics, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• Experience with SQL and data analysis tools such as R or Python
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Experience in financial services, lending, banking, or risk management preferred
