Job Description: Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position We are seeking a highly motivated individual contributor who will work closely with Fidelity Capital Markets to monitor and provide oversight of daily operational risk activities. As part of this team you will also be responsible for helping to manage and implement the 15c3-5 (Market Access) program which applies systematic risk controls across asset classes to Fidelity's market-facing trading activities. In addition, you will lead specialized risk initiatives such as control testing, assessments, and after-action reviews. This is a unique opportunity which blends knowledge and curiosity of trading markets with quantitative skills in a fast-paced environment.
The Team In this role, you will apply quantitative skills to evaluate processes and procedures across Fidelity Capital Markets while assisting with the daily management of operational risk monitoring and the Market Access program. Overall, the team helps ensure that Fidelity protects its reputation and complies with laws and regulations relating to the risks created by the use of models, rules engines, automated controls, and system-generated reports. You will think and work across Fidelity with partners in Fidelity Institutional (FI) Business Units with a focus on the Fidelity Capital Markets trading desks and operations. By challenging the norm and valuing pace over perfection, you will help drive innovation in our space. The team has a diverse set of skills in the following areas: data analytics, trading infrastructure, back office, brokerage knowledge and audit/testing background. We are seeking a candidate who has strengths as noted below, but more importantly, is willing to learn skills where needed. The Expertise You Have • Interpersonal skills and demeanor to communicate effectively with trading, operations, risk, compliance and legal across Capital Markets • Working knowledge of capital markets including equity, fixed income and options trading. • Series 7 is not required but is desired upon hire. • In the field of data analytics - developing queries, analyzing large and complex data sets, identifying trends or outliers, and utilizing this information to perform control testing or in support of risk assessments • Ability to contribute to and lead After Action Reviews for incidents or procedural deficiencies putting the firm at risk for current or future financial exposures or losses.
• Practical working knowledge of common reporting and visualization tools (ex. MS Excel, Tableau or similar applications) • 1-5 years experience in financial services, risk management, audit, control testing, and/or compliance related work The Skills You Bring • You are able to work in a face-paced trading environment dealing with individual traders, reps and production support.

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles. The base salary range for this position is $67,000-$127,000 per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
