Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Available shifts include Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00). Weekends are required every other week as per collective bargaining agreement.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care in a Level 3 NICU environment. This role requires independent work in both the NICU and a Level 2 regional trauma center. The RN will float between different departments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for neonates in the NICU, including complex and high-risk cases.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and assess clinical conditions of patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage neonatal emergencies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Washington State RN License in hand.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU setting is required.
• Trauma Level II or I experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience is not mandatory.
