Starting Wage: $33.68 - 43.75/hr (Based on Tech Level)

Shift: Friday - Sunday 7:00pm - 7:00am

The position of Maintenance Tech is responsible for providing the maintenance and repair of the plant's machinery, grounds, buildings and equipment.

• Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
• Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
• Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OHSA and company requirements and standards.
• Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.
• As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes his/her Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving.

• Leads and promotes a strong Food Safety Culture within the facility
• Completes his/her Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified and participates in problem solving.
• Ensures compliance to quality, Food Safety Preventive Control (FSPC), FSMA, Food Defense,, OSHA and other support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
• Reviews, understands, and complies with all applicable SOPs containing Process or Preventive Control monitoring or verification, if trained and designated as a Qualified Individual (QI).
• Communicates any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline if the need for anonymity is necessary.

• Has own tools for daily maintenance tasks
• Work Varied Shifts for Training
• Work From Ladder Safely
• Work in small space
• Change drive belts, timing belts, & chains
• Able to use basic shop tools
• Attempts to identify potential downtime situations
• Lubricates machinery with correct lubricant.
• Maintains company standards for cleanliness, safety & productivity
• Ensures compliance to 5's, HACCP, & OSHA standards
• Paints & repairs any surface in or around building & grounds
• Capable of performing functional tasks of perquisite Maintenance Tech level(s), as applicable.
• Completes all daily paperwork & know there importance
• Provides maintenance support to packaging & processing equipment
• Basic knowledge of plumbing components & fittings
• Basic welding
• Change filters & oils in plants
• Rebuild product pump per sanitation guidelines
• Maintains water towers & test water along with cleaning of towers
• Identify & replaces bearings
• Can replace electric motor single or 3 phase
• Setup packaging equipment
• Performs water test, ph test, total hardness, & conductivity
• Maintains, cleans & inspects of the HVAC units in our plants
• Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

• Capable of performing functional tasks of perquisite Maintenance Tech level(s), as applicable.
• Sets up & uses plasma cutter properly & safely
• Sets up & uses Lathe
• Sets up & uses Vertical Mill
• Performs boiler tests, cleans & repairs boilers
• Has basic understanding & assists in refrigeration
• Welds with Tig, Mig, Stick welders on mild steel & stainless
• Repairs & troubleshoots on mechanical problems on lifts
• Must be able to read P&ID
• Maintains, repairs, tracks, & adjust conveyor belts
• Can perform monthly sprinkler test
• Wires & troubleshoots a start /stop circuit
• Tool time meetings
• Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

• Capable of performing functional tasks of perquisite Maintenance Tech level(s), as applicable.
• Able to go online with compact, control or micrologix serial & ethernet
• Navigates & has basic understanding of PLC programs
• Replace program all different types drives & able to use the HMI
• Welds all types of metals with all types of welders & weld aluminum.
• Maintains the NH3 refrigeration system compressor
• Maintains the NH3 refrigeration system condenser.
• Maintains the NH3 refrigeration system evaps & valve stations
• Maintains the NH3 refrigeration system Hansen Auto Purger
• Maintains the NH3 refrigeration system tanks & pumps
• Must have good understanding of ammonia refrigeration & able to start up
• Maintains, operates, set-up, & troubleshoot KHS baggers
• Maintains, operates, set-up, & troubleshoot Ishida Scales
• Performs other duties/responsibilities as assigned by Management

Qualifications ? What You'll Bring

• Mechanical aptitude and accurate troubleshooting ability are required, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Ability to successfully work independently and as a team with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks as assigned.
• Must be able to successfully obtain industrial truck and lift operating certification and safely maintain per company and OSHA standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally & written to and work well with Team Members, Management, Customers & Vendors.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment operation, ability to properly use/operate accurate tools and good math skills are required.
• Ability to read & interpret written & verbal direction while working in a safe, effective & productive manner within a fast paced environment
