Job Title Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown Location Akron, OH Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care Unit / Stepdown setting during night shift hours Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition Administer medications safely in accordance with facility protocols and competency standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes Rotate holiday coverage on an every-other-holiday basis Required Qualifications Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a PCU, Stepdown, or IMC setting Active and unencumbered Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license – must be in hand at time of submission Active AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission Active AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – must be in hand at time of submission Must achieve an acceptable score on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (maximum of 2 attempts) No open background or license hits; background review conducted by facility Preferred Experience / Skills PCU/Stepdown experience concentrated within a single facility location Familiarity with annual nursing competency requirements and module-based continuing education Why Join Us Opportunity to work in a well-established progressive care environment with a structured onboarding and competency program Contract extension opportunities available for high-performing candidates Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 773113.
