Position Summary Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician. As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair of Walmart facilities’ Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs. Minimum Qualifications 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience Type I, Type II, or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling Valid state‑issued driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass an MVR report 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls OR 4+ years of experience in similar field Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program, mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located (preferred) Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets, utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and hand, digital, and power tools. Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines, performing work according to the Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines. Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
