ENTRY Phlebotomist I

Pay Range: $12.75hr - $17.75hr


Job Overview:


The Entry Patient Service Representative I / Lobby Experience Coordinator assists with patient care by greeting patients upon arrival and answering questions with care and compassion. The candidate maintains the waiting area, assists with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable, and utilizes phlebotomy skills to grow within the organization. The candidate creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients safely and accurately. Demonstrating excellence in customer care, process skills, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information, this role is crucial to maintaining lobby integrity and ensuring high-quality service. The position primarily involves greeting patients, assisting with kiosk check-ins, creating a comfortable environment, and filling in for breaks and staffing shortages.

• Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public, along with a willingness to learn new skills.

Job Requirements:


High level of customer service experience and skills are required, as this is critical to the core of the role.

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Willingness to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help cover breaks.
• Ability to perform with confidence both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, including internship or externship experience to learn the fundamentals.

Work Experience:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience required (e.g., retail, home health aide).
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
• Keyboarding and data entry experience is required.
