The office of Advancement manages relationships with alumni, families, and friends to support the college’s mission and raise philanthropic support. Opportunity The Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement is part of a team that designs events and activities to engage alumni, parents, and friends. The role provides logistical direction for major events, including Alumni Weekend and Garnet Weekend, and manages project execution, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination. Essential Responsibilities Direct logistics of major on-campus alumni and parent events, including Alumni Weekend and Garnet Weekend. Create and manage the master event schedule for both semesters and coordinate with on‑and off‑campus partners. Work with vendors, Advancement colleagues, and on‑campus partners to ensure event success. Plan strategic projects, provide creative direction, logistical support, and execute events such as fundraising and prospect events, donor relations and stewardship events, affinity and regional engagement events, networking events, reunion events, and virtual programs. Evaluate event success through data analysis, surveys, and feedback. Track spending to assist in budget management. Who you are Strong project management skills, able to oversee complex timelines and manage multiple priorities. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, able to manage logistics, scheduling, and event operations independently and collaboratively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating institutional priorities and engaging diverse audiences. Collaborative team player with flexibility to support broader organizational initiatives and events. Strong time management skills, able to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Willingness and ability to travel and work evenings/weekends to support events. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of five years working in institutional advancement or equivalent experience. Superior organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking. Superior written and oral communication skills. Diplomatic, high confidentiality, strong customer service skills. Ability to articulate the value of higher education. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, fundraising databases (e.g., Banner), reporting software (e.g., Argos), web page development software (e.g., Drupal), and social media. Valid US driver’s license and ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree. Experience in a college or university setting. Clearance Requirements PA Criminal background check required. MVR clearance required due to use of college vehicle for duties. Education verification required.
