About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (3x12s) Experience: Recent experience with electronic medical records systems required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Must-Have: Recent electronic medical records experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members, as well as team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Organizational requirements include commitment to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. All associates are required to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Participates in employment verification processes. This unit provides care for post-critical cardiac patients requiring telemetry monitoring, possible ventilator support, and observation. The care provided is less than intensive care but more comprehensive than required by general acute patients. Patients may require specialty IV drips.
