$80k - $90k

Spencer Stuart

SSI (U.S.) Inc. d/b/a Spencer Stuart

Spencer Stuart is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer F/M/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.

Location : New York

Full/Part Time : Full time

Req ID : R4690

The Role

The Business Development Analyst, Private Equity (PE) will serve as a critical strategic resource within Spencer Stuart's Private Equity Practice, supporting the firm's growing advisory portfolio and enabling high-quality, responsive business development and client engagement efforts. This individual will partner closely with PE Consultants, and the Leadership Advisory Services (LAS) Client Development team (CDT) to design bespoke client proposals, develop compelling presentation materials, and strengthen the firm's overall go-to-market execution within the PE advisory space.

The Business Development Analyst will bring consulting acumen, strong analytical capability, robust learning agility, and exceptional communication skills to ensure that clients receive timely, best-in-class proposals and materials. By assuming ownership of proposal development, pitch support, and content customization, this role will meaningfully enhance responsiveness to clients allowing leaders to focus on client delivery, relationship building, and strategic account management.

In addition to driving proposal excellence, the Business Development Analyst will contribute to the development of the PE knowledge ecosystem, product output design, and consistent client delivery. This includes building and maintaining a robust library of off-the-shelf materials, anonymized client decks, sample reports, use-case-specific starter kits, pricing examples, and curated insights in collaboration with practice leadership. Moreover, the Business Development Analyst can expect to join client conversations and inbounds to help translate client needs into action, and ensure consistent delivery standards in our methodology, framing, and output. The role will also assist in broader research and business development initiatives, enabling the practice to deliver more data-driven insights and scale its thought leadership.

    • Standardize deliverables for recurring advisory offerings, such as Pre-Deal Assessments, working closely with the Solutions Hub to define best-practice content, structure, and methodologies.
    • Create and disseminate a business development "playbook" documenting best practices, templates, and tools to enable consistent execution across the PE practice.
  • Performance Tracking & Operational Excellence
