Accountabilities:

You will guide and support a multidisciplinary engineering team while ensuring successful delivery of scalable software and data products.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of software engineers and data scientists focused on high-impact geospatial solutions.
• Drive execution of product roadmaps in partnership with product management, ensuring alignment between strategy and delivery.
• Remove technical and organizational blockers to enable efficient and high-quality shipping of features and improvements.
• Define and evolve engineering processes, including planning, code reviews, on-call practices, and operational excellence.
• Promote strong engineering practices for building and maintaining data pipelines, cloud systems, and machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate across teams to support infrastructure needs, model deployment, and system scalability improvements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings strong technical leadership experience and a track record of building high-performing engineering organizations.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in software engineering roles.
• 4+ years of experience in engineering management, including leading distributed and diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, statistics, and machine learning concepts.
• Proven experience delivering data-intensive, cloud-based software products at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to manage technical tradeoffs, technical debt, and change management initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.
• Experience with distributed cloud computing environments and modern engineering practices.
• Bonus: exposure to geospatial data, satellite imagery, or defense and intelligence domains.
