Litigation Associate

Squire Patton Boggs is seeking a junior to mid‑level Associate to join any of our U.S. offices, with a particular preference in the Miami or Cincinnati offices. Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation is a plus but not required. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions; legal research; arguing hearings; managing discovery requests and responses; taking and defending depositions; and assisting with trial preparations and trial. Responsibilities Draft pleadings and motions Conduct legal research Argue hearings Manage discovery requests and responses Take and defend depositions Assist with trial preparations and conduct trial Qualifications 2-6 years of experience at a top‑tier firm and/or judicial clerkship Admission to the Florida Bar Possess a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record Excellent credentials Experience with healthcare/managed care litigation (a plus) Significant and exceptional writing experience/skills Strong legal research, drafting, discovery, and coordination skills Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities Prior courtroom and deposition experience (preferred but not required) Substantial experience managing a commercial lawsuit from start to finish (senior candidates) Exceptional academic record (junior candidates) Self‑starter ability to prioritize workload, good judgment, and work well under pressure Benefits Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, life, 401(k), and many other excellent benefits.
