Unit Supervisor (RN) Freestanding Emergency Falls Church, VA, United States Job Identification: 685313 Posting Date: 07/02/2026, 04:00 PM Job Schedule: Full time Locations: Inova Fairfax City (On-site) (On-site) Inova Emergency Care Center - Fairfax City is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor to join our team. This role is full-time, nights - three 12-hour shifts with weekend requirements (7:00 pm - 7:00 am). Work/Life Balance: offering paid time off, paid parental leave, and flexible work schedules Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor - Emergency Room (ER) Responsibilities: Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit, Embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes Role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility. Ensures that care is patient-centered Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among discipline Exhibits leadership ability that fosters teamwork and retention Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing; or, Associate Degree RN within one year of completing BSN program Experience: One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association; Licensed to practice as an RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia Training: Inova RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months of start date Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department/Trauma Center with additional charge or supervisory responsibilities.
