Director of the LL.M. Program in Gaming Law and Regulation and Assistant Professor-in-Residence, William S. Program in Gaming Law and Regulation and Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence is a core faculty member responsible for teaching, advising, researching and administratively leading the LL.M. program. The position requires deep knowledge of gaming law and the ability to manage the day‑to‑day operations and strategic direction of the program. Key Responsibilities and Duties Faculty‑Level Work (60%) Teaching and Curriculum Development (30%) Responsibility for the overall curriculum, learning objectives and curriculum mapping. Teach core and elective courses within the program covering gaming regulation, casino operations, sports betting and technology innovation. Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to develop and refine the curriculum. Recruit industry professionals as adjunct faculty. Student Advising and Mentorship (30%) Primary academic advisor and mentor for LL.M. students. Guide course selection, academic progress and career planning. Provide career guidance and network students with industry practitioners. Co‑ordinate externship placements and oversee externship coursework. Administrative‑Level Work (40%) Program Management and Strategy (20%) Oversee daily operations, student recruitment, admissions, scheduling, budget and resources. Develop and implement strategic plans for program growth. Act as liaison to the International Center for Gaming Regulation and the International Gaming Institute. Industry and Community Engagement (10%) Act as liaison between law school and gaming industry, regulators, companies and associations. Organize events, speaker series, conferences and field trips to casinos and resorts. Program Development and Outreach (10%) Maintain program website and marketing materials in collaboration with Marketing and Communications. Work with Admissions to maintain a strong applicant pool. Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent first law degree. Significant professional experience (3‑5 years) as a practitioner, regulator or in‑house counsel within the gaming industry. Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Established connections within the gaming industry and/or regulatory bodies. Preferred Qualifications Experience managing academic programs or leading complex projects. Prior teaching experience at the university or graduate level. Experience with curriculum design and online learning platforms. Demonstrated interest in mentoring students.
