General Dentist, Assistant/Associate/Professor in Residence (UNLV School of Dental Medicine) The UNLV School of Dental Medicine is looking to fill six (6) Clinical Faculty – General Dentistry positions. Successful candidates will provide comprehensive clinical supervision, oversight, and instruction in the delivery of safe, ethical, and evidence-based patient care by students enrolled in the DMD/DDS predoctoral dental program. Responsibilities Providing chairside supervision to predoctoral dental students in UNLV SDM clinics Teaching preclinical, simulation, and clinical general dentistry courses Developing, updating, and delivering didactic content, including lectures, seminars, and small‑group instruction Ensuring integration of contemporary science, clinical innovation, and digital dentistry technologies into educational activities Contributing to student assessment, competency evaluations, remediation, and academic support Maintaining compliance with CODA standards, OSHA, HIPAA, quality assurance, and institutional policies Participating in community outreach, service‑learning programs, and other SDM community initiatives Participating in service on school and university committees, accreditation and quality‑improvement processes, and faculty development activities Optionally treating patients within the UNLV Faculty Dental Practice in accordance with faculty practice policies Works Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm at the Shadow Lane Campus. Minimum Qualifications DDS or DMD degree from a CODA‑accredited dental school (or equivalent foreign dental degree with appropriate U.S.-based credentialing) Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Nevada Minimum three (3) years of clinical practice experience in general dentistry or completion of a GPR/AEGD residency Demonstrated experience teaching, supervising, or mentoring dental students, dental residents, or dental teams Eligibility to work in the United States Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as a faculty member in a dental school or academic clinical setting Experience with digital dentistry, CAD/CAM, advanced restorative materials, or emerging clinical technologies Experience working with diverse patient populations and/or community‑based dental programs Experience or interest in scholarly activity, educational innovation, or clinical research Bilingual proficiency Salary Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions – contingent upon funding.
