About the Job

Questar III BOCES is seeking a dedicated, full-time School Social Worker to support our Special Education programs. In this role, you will provide vital clinical and advocacy services to help students navigate school adjustment challenges and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality individual and group counseling for students.
• Deliver crisis intervention and case management services as needed.
• Develop, implement, and support student transition plans.
• Coordinate and facilitate strong, positive home-school communication.
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Certification: Proper New York State (NYS) School Social Worker certification is required.
• License/Experience (Preferred): NYS Clinical Licensure (LCSW/LMSW) and prior experience working with special education students are highly preferred.
