Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a valued role supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing maternity leave coverage, August 2026 through March 2027. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours, 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, in a welcoming school environment.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in school-based speech therapy, including experience with pediatric populations and familiarity across the SLP-CCC and SLP-CFY spectrum. Candidates confident in teletherapy, AAC, and a diverse caseload are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Active, valid SLP license (or eligibility) for Alabama
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates welcome
• Previous experience working in schools with K-12 students preferred
• Ability to provide both on-site and teletherapy services as needed
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Collaborative mindset when working with educators, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy and diagnostic services for K-12 students
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain timely documentation and progress tracking for all services
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the positive school culture
