This role is located onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Virginia Beach, where you will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical abilities, limitations, and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic methods, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve function.
• Regularly assess patients' progress towards therapeutic goals, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to meet changing patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, including techniques for pain management and mobility improvement.
• Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner using our electronic health records system.
• Collaborate with other rehabilitation staff and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care for all patients.
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education workshops to enhance professional skills and stay updated on best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population includes children and adults recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. You will be challenged to tailor your approach to a wide range of diagnoses, ensuring that you provide the highest level of individualized care. Your role is critical in guiding patients on their journey to recovery by significantly improving their mobility and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively and ensure comprehensive documentation.

Preferred Experience

While two years of clinical experience are required, candidates with specialized experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and familiarity with evidence-based practices will have a competitive advantage. Additionally, experience in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation settings and knowledge of advanced therapeutic modalities are highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
