Job Description
Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15). 36 or 48 hours per week accepted.

Assignment Details

Contracts are for 13-26 weeks. Contract staff will be assigned to work on various teams during catastrophic events, and may be required to float to different units as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Accepts first-time travelers.
• Certifications: BCLS.
• Skills: MED/Surg, Telemetry-remote monitoring, IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, feeding tube management, pre/post hemodialysis management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, central/PICC line management, starting IVs, PCA, chest tube management, non-invasive airway management, wound care, and isolation precautions.
• Preferred skills: Management of dysrhythmias, EPIC experience, interpreting ABGs, CVA, surgical drains.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care based on established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and administer medications as prescribed.
• Assist in managing care for patients with complex needs, including COVID-19.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient progress and communicate effectively using standard reporting methods.

Compliance / Notes

Must pass EKG testing prior to start. RTO (Requested Time Off) is limited to a maximum of 7 days. Floating to different units is required. Expect to work 12-16 weekends during the contract period. Orientation includes 24 hours of unit-specific training, along with hospital orientation during the first week.
