Mental Health Registered Nurse (MH RN) - Part-Time (24 Hours/Week)ATC Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Registered Nurse (MH RN) to join our team. This role involves providing nursing care in the Root & Rise Program, a DBHDS contract supporting three Mental Health Specialized Group Homes in Richmond, VA. These homes support individuals aged 18-36, transitioning from inpatient psychiatric settings to community-based residential programs. This position requires a nuanced approach to care for individuals with NGRI status and medical comorbidities.Key Responsibilities:Provide general nursing care services in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, regulatory agencies, and professional standards.Utilize professional nursing processes: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Respond to emergency healthcare needs.Perform health screenings and collect/record health status data.Promote and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.Instruct individuals on prescribed treatment methods.Collaborate to develop guidelines/protocols for health, nursing, and nutritional needs.Monitor and direct nursing support personnel in delegated activities.Provide health care instruction related to health promotion, illness prevention, disease, injury, or disability management.Communicate effectively with staff and individuals to ensure optimal care.Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.Shift Hours:Primarily: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (12 hours/2 programs)Schedule: Monday-Wednesday at N 27th, Wednesday at Eagle Run, 4 hours at each program on FridayJob Types:PRNPermanentPer diemPay: $50.00 - $52.00 per hour Expected Hours: 24 per weekMedical Specialties:Addiction MedicineGeriatricsHome HealthNeurologyPsychiatryPhysical Settings:Assisted Living FacilityCommunity Health CenterLong-Term CareSkilled Nursing FacilitySupplemental Pay:Overtime PayWork Location: In-personQualifications:Valid RN license in the state of Virginia.Experience in mental health or psychiatric settings (preferred).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Compassionate and patient demeanor with a focus on individualized care.Strong communication and organizational skills.ATC Healthcare Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
