Summary This vacancy is for a GS-0343-14, Energy Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OFFICE OF NAVAL ENGINEERING in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. Learn more about this agency Duties Help You will serve as an Energy Analyst and be responsible for enhancing operations, sustaining operational capabilities, and providing/expanding energy supply in support of U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) assets worldwide. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support Coast Guard energy, water, and resilience requirements.
- Analyzing energy and utility programs to ensure reliable and resilient support for Coast Guard operations.
- Reviewing federal laws, regulations, and directives to develop and implement energy policies and guidance
- Developing energy projects, statements of work, and contractor requirements to support compliance and program goals.
- Analyzing energy, financial, and technical data to recommend improvements to program efficiency and performance.

- All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit.
- Initiating contracts for program services and coordinate with federal and military agencies to support logistics, infrastructure, and mission requirements.
- Managing program funds to support energy, utility, logistics, transportation, research, or infrastructure requirements
- Analyzing consumption, spending, and performance data to measure compliance and program effectiveness.
- Evaluating supply issues, contract exceptions, waivers, or deficiency reports to support program decisions
- Providing technical oversight and developing policies or guidance for logistics, energy, or infrastructure programs.
