Staff Geotechnical Engineer 2

Join us to accelerate this vision and your professional development. We are looking for an entry‑level Staff Geotechnical Engineer 2 in Portland, OR . In this role you will bring your expertise and unique solutions to highly visible and challenging projects. Our mid‑sized group offers immediate heightened responsibilities and an open‑door policy that encourages 1:1 access to some of the best and most experienced geotechnical leaders in the region.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform geotechnical engineering calculations and analyses. Perform geotechnical report writing. Complete geotechnical field exploration and sample collection. Perform geotechnical construction monitoring and testing. Participate in client meetings and presentations.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

B.S. in Engineering, Geology, or related field required. M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering required. Engineer‑in‑Training license. Ability to obtain a PE license in 3–4 years. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Team attitude and ability to interact well with internal staff and project teams that include other consultants, contractors, and clients. Experience with Slide2, Settle3, and APile/LPile (preferred). Experience on construction sites and field explorations (preferred). Ability to travel to temporary assignments across the U.S., the Pacific Islands region, and internationally if applicable. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Current driver’s license.
