Urgent Care Physician

Clinical Services: ProviderPhysicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.Education:- Graduate of an accredited medical school requiredWork Experience:2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience requiredMinimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting requiredAdult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferredRequired Licenses/Certifications:- Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine- Active state medical licensureAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:- Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting- Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.Job Responsibilities include:Examining and treating patientsTaking patients' medical historiesOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-raysMaking diagnoses and prescribing medicationsTreating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or castingRecording progress notes for follow-up patientsEducating and counseling patientsOrdering and/or carrying out therapy with patientsGiving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional careSupervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervisionAct as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)Each provider will work an anticipated eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shiftAll other duties as assignedAll qualified persons are granted an equal opportunity for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation and gender identity or expression, age, national origin, citizenship status, disability, genetic information, medical condition, family care leave status, pregnancy or pregnancy-related condition, otherwise qualified disabled or veteran status.
