We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Fitter with fitting experience to join our growing team. This is not a repetitive production role. You'll work on custom structural steel projects, operate heavy fabrication equipment, and build large steel assemblies that support major construction projects. Each component is custom and must be able to transition to new projects smoothly. Weldments are large and heavy (5-50 tons) Job Description: Read and comprehend Steel structures drawings Mark welding required on each weldment Welding when smaller assemblies are required Hold tolerances within 1/16th inch Be able to plan ahead and change fitting steps to achieve desired outcomes of projects Be able to make fixtures and other usual clamping devices to make fitting times faster and easier Other basic skills in addition to key skills Use plasma cutter and oxy-acetylene torches Grinding Drilling/Taping Using heavy cranes 50 Tons Be comfortable flipping and moving 50 ton parts Use of an iron worker Summary Medical insurance with low HRA deductible Dental and vision insurance ( 90% employer paid ) Short-term disability ( 100% employer paid ) Long-term disability ( 100% employer paid ) $50,000 life insurance policy ( 100% employer paid ) 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match Compensation Hourly wage is based on experience, welding ability, and overall qualifications.
