This leadership role will be instrumental in strengthening operational excellence, cultivating company culture, and developing future leaders throughout the organization. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, building scalable learning programs while remaining closely connected to day-to-day operations. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership, this individual will design engaging, measurable, and hospitality-focused learning initiatives that support employee development, operational consistency, and business growth. This position is based in the Greater New York City area and requires regular travel to retail, production, and support locations. Key Responsibilities Learning Strategy & Organizational Development Develop and execute a company-wide Learning & Development strategy aligned with organizational goals and long-term growth. Partner with business leaders to identify skill gaps, succession planning opportunities, and leadership development priorities. Build scalable learning programs that support operational excellence, guest service, compliance, leadership development, and career progression. Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth across the organization. Training & Program Development Design, implement, and continuously improve onboarding, training, and development programs for frontline employees, managers, and leadership teams. Create engaging new hire orientation programs that foster a strong company culture from day one. Develop leadership development pathways focused on coaching, accountability, communication, operational excellence, and customer service. Create structured development plans, coaching resources, and performance improvement tools. Ensure training materials remain current, consistent, and aligned with company standards. Operational Partnership Collaborate closely with Operations, Store Leadership, Department Managers, and Human Resources to support workforce readiness and business initiatives. Regularly visit operational locations to evaluate training effectiveness, and identify opportunities for improvement. Support new location openings, operational rollouts, process improvements, and company-wide initiatives through effective training execution. Measurement & Continuous Improvement Establish measurable KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness, employee engagement, retention, and operational performance. Analyze feedback, assessments, and performance data to continuously improve learning programs. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve adoption, and maximize training impact. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop members of the Learning & Development team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Stay current on industry trends, learning technologies, and best practices in talent development. Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Talent Development, or Corporate Training. Experience designing and scaling training programs within fast-paced, multi-unit organizations. Strong operational mindset with the ability to connect learning initiatives to measurable business outcomes. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with leaders across multiple departments. Outstanding communication, facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills. Excellent project management, organizational, and execution abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with HRIS, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or similar training platforms. Preferred Experience in retail, hospitality, foodservice, grocery, restaurant, distribution, manufacturing, or other multi-site operational environments. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. Experience supporting large hourly workforces. Comfortable working in both corporate offices and operational environments.
