Engineering Technician

What You'll Do

• Manufacture prototype sensors that support new product development initiatives.

• Support engineering builds by fabricating components, collecting and documenting data, providing feedback, and assisting with troubleshooting activities.

• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory and manufacturing equipment.

• Work with a combination of established and emerging technologies, including laser processing and coating equipment.

• Accurately document experimental results, manufacturing records, and process data.

• Help manage inventory of materials and components while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Utilize computer systems and tools, including Excel, for data entry, tracking, and reporting.

• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to support prototype development and process improvements.

• Basic computer proficiency and experience entering or tracking data.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in medical device, biotech, diagnostics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

• Chemical handling experience and familiarity with safety protocols.

• Experience working with prototype, pilot, or research and development equipment.

• Familiarity with laboratory documentation and quality system requirements.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
