This is a Sherman Associates owned Marriott International, Inc franchised location. The Housekeeping Runner is responsible for the operations of cleaning rooms, public space cleaning, laundry production and other related areas of the hotel. Work closely with the Housekeeping Supervisor to cover days off and train staff, help with scheduling and other duties as assigned. Schedule: We are currently seeking part-time availability to include both weekdays and weekends. Shifts are 8am-5pm! Pay: $15.50/hour Essential Functions Clean rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine Clean rooms, hallways, and restrooms Wash walls and ceiling, move furniture and turn mattresses Sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floor Collect soiled linen for laundering Receive linen supplies from floor shoots Maintain housekeeping carts Remove trash collected by room attendants Walk all assigned floors at beginning and end of shift to collect trash and linens Pickup clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other items to guests rooms upon requests Perform duties of room attendant when necessary Sort linen, stock room attendant closets Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry Help the room attendants with heavy lifting when super cleaning/spring cleaning of rooms Remove soiled linen and trash from the pool side and other service area and take to appropriate locations in the prescribed manner Assist room attendants with placing bed boards, roll-ways beds, extra bed, etc. Report missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues Other duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum Requirements No prior housekeeping experience required; Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance A passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel Ensure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety services Benefits Fully paid short term disability Fully paid life insurance Fully paid employee assistance program Fully vested 401k company match program 9 Paid holidays Starbucks and Hotel discounts Charitable giving strategy with corporate match Sherman Associates is an Equal Opportunity and Affiant Action Employer.
