Skilled Home Health Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day Shift: 5x8-Hour Schedule (08:00 - 17:00). Shifts may vary based on the needs of the HomeCare office.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Home Health Nurse with experience in providing care to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, including OASIS training and experience, and have a solid background in high-risk diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, myocardial infarction, pneumonia, and stroke.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiopulmonary assessments and basic wound care
• Administer medications, including IV therapies
• Perform wound vac management and dressing changes
• Change and care for Foley catheters
• Undertake staple and suture removals
• Utilize glucometers and pro-time machines effectively
• Manage and care for PICC lines and midlines
• Provide direct patient care through home visits

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1 year of skilled home care experience required; private duty nursing experience alone is not accepted
• OASIS training and home health experience mandatory
• Valid FL nursing license or compact license required
• Current BCLS certification
• Must possess valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with exemptions available
• Flu vaccine is required or declination must be on file
