URGENTLY HIRING a dynamic Maintenance Supervisor who can balance hands on teaching with delegation!

Location: Florham Park, NJ

Shift: First Shift

The Maintenance Supervisor leads a hands on maintenance team in a metal manufacturing plant, who specializes in metals for multiple applications, such as off coast oil drilling, defense contracting, and more. Your responsibilities will include being 50% hands on and 50% delegatory. Looking for someone who can grow the current employee base into a more efficient team!

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment, setting clear expectations and holding technicians accountable for performance and safety.
• Work hands-on alongside maintenance technicians to learn equipment, processes, and individual strengths and development needs.
• Develop, mentor, and upskill maintenance technicians to increase in-house capabilities and reduce the need for outsourced maintenance work.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair activities.
• Implement, manage, and optimize preventive maintenance programs, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-up using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Monitor equipment reliability and maintenance performance, and prepare reports that highlight trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate maintenance activities across multiple shifts, occasionally supporting second shift and overnight teams to build relationships and ensure consistent standards.
• Collaborate with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and align maintenance priorities with production needs.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards while working around large industrial presses and other heavy equipment.

This is a permanent position based out of Clifton, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $99000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
