We are professional, while staying true to our Alaskan roots and commitment to the personal touch.Position: Accounts Receivable SpecialistAs an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will serve as a critical member of our Accounting team: you will be responsible for the company's day-to-day accounts receivable (A/R) activities, including:Collecting customer invoicing data;Preparing and sending customer invoices;Tracking customer payments;Applying customer payments to the correct invoices;Tracking A/R aging components;Investigating and resolving A/R issuesAn outstanding Accounts Receivable Specialist at Grant Aviation should be dedicated to customer service both to internal and external customers, have strong attention to detail, and be committed to our core values of being safe, reliable, and friendly. This position will typically work normal business hours Monday through Friday. Our culture puts high value on in-person work arrangements, so you will thrive in a busy office environment with plenty of direct interaction with your teammates.Day to day work will initially be focused on getting to know your teammates, learning the current A/R processes, and getting to know our customers. We value teamwork, information-sharing, cross-training, and coverage for each other, and believe that facilitates a solid understanding of the company as a whole and the Accounting department's processes and procedures. You can expect to spend significant time with our Accounts Receivable Manager and Staff Accountant as you learn the A/R processes and procedures.Beginning around three months after you join the team, you can expect to be largely self-sufficient in your day-to-day work. The VP of Finance and Administration is an open-door policy person, expecting her staff to work without micro-management, but always willing to answer questions and valuing idea-sharing and suggestions for new ways to do things. Grant Aviation is a December 31 year-end.Long term, we expect the department to further expand, providing opportunities for advancement within the team.
