This family-owned business has been around for 60 years with over 75 stores and is continuing to grow.Position Overview:We are seeking a friendly and reliable Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will assist customers with purchases, operate the cash register, restock merchandise, and maintain a clean and safe store environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities:Greet and assist customers in a friendly mannerAccurately process transactions using the cash register and handle paymentsStock shelves and coolers with merchandiseMaintain cleanliness of the store, including the sales floor, restrooms, and fuel pumpsMonitor fuel pumps and assist customers as neededFollow safety and security procedures, including age verification for restricted productsHandle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionallySkills & Requirements: Must be 21 years of age or olderFamiliarity with electronic equipment, including cash registers and other POS systems. Basic math skills and proficiency in using computers.Effective communication skills and a strong customer focus. Ability to collaborate with the team to manage workload and pace effectively. Willingness to learn about store processes, products, and services. Ability to remain composed in confrontational situations.Capability to work in a high-volume, sometimes high-pressure environment. Flexibility to work a schedule that includes Sunday through Saturday. Availability to open and close the store as needed. Must be able to work in cold environments, such as outdoor cold weather and indoor coolers. Must also be able to work in heat during the summer months to perform outdoor duties.
