Assistant Technical Designer

We are an established designer and manufacturer of women's apparel. Our Technical Design Team seeks an experienced Technical Designer to help with speccing, fittings and fit comments. The product categories include woven and knit tops, pants/bottoms, shorts, skirts, dresses, and jackets. Primary Responsibilities Organize and prepare samples for the fittings prioritizing urgent deliveries Measure samples accurately and in timely manner before the fittings Create and update technical packages with measurements and construction details Take notes and pictures and participate with the team in the fittings Help with drafting and sending fitting comments Maintain organization of fit samples for reference Support the needs of other departments if necessary Skills & Qualifications Degree in Technical Design or Patternmaking (preferred) 2+ years experience with Technical Design Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Basic knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, sewing techniques, fabrications and trims Ability to multi-task and work in a fast‑pace environment Excellent organizational and communication skills Compensation $70,000-$85,000 annual salary Benefits include employer paid health insurance, 401K, paid time off #J-18808-Ljbffr R & O Design Inc
