SCADA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customerstakeholders to define the scope and requirements of Ignitionsolutions, focusing on process improvements.
• Developproprietary software tools for product development, commissioning,and R&D.
• Buildand enhance Ignition solutions, including:
  • Industrialand HVAC applications.
  • Systemnetworks (BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet IP integrations).
  • Perspectiveand Vision user interfaces.
  • Reporting,alarm configuration, and SQL database interactions.
  • CSSand Python-based scripting.
• Createdetailed pre- and post-project documentation.
• Conductthorough testing, deployment, and provide application support.
• Applyexpertise across industries and manufacturing processes whilecollaborating with project teams.
• Providementorship and guidance to junior team members.
• Travelup to 30% for client meetings, deployments, and support.

Qualifications
Required:

• Proven experience with InductiveAutomation Ignition SCADA, including Core Certification (GoldCertification is a plus).
• Skilledin Perspective and Vision development.
• Proficientin Python development, including Ignitions Expression Language.
• Strongintegration experience with PLCs, Modbus, and BACnet.
• Solidunderstanding of BAS and process plant controls.
• Abilityto independently manage and execute Ignition projects from start tofinish.
• Competentin reading electrical, process control drawings, and P&IDs.
• Functionalunderstanding of mechanical systems.
• StrongSQL database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, Microsoft SQLServer, MariaDB).
• Solidgrasp of IT networks and controller communication protocols.

Preferred:

• Bachelors degree in SystemsEngineering, Controls Engineering, Software Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Experiencewith DDC controls, Modbus, and BACnet protocols.
• Familiaritywith Tridium or other BAS control systems.
• Knowledgeof Active Directory and SAML 2.0.
