THE POSITION

As a Business Analyst 3 with the Municipal Retirement System, you will support essential reporting tools that help guide important retirement services. This role brings you into collaboration with business and technical teams to improve data resources. You will play a key part in strengthening reporting accuracy and system performance. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on reporting development, data analysis, and support of complex information systems. The role works with business and technical staff to strengthen reporting processes and resolve system issues. As a Business Analyst 3, you will perform the following duties:

• Requirements Analysis: Identify reporting and data needs and translate them into system requirements
• Report Development: Build and update dashboards, queries, and reporting tools with approved technologies
• Data Evaluation: Review data outputs to confirm accuracy and locate inconsistencies
• System Coordination: Support system changes and collaborate with technical staff to address issues
• Testing Support: Prepare testing materials and assist business users during system updates
• User Assistance: Provide training and guidance on reporting solutions and applications

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
• Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60 minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week after successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year as a Business Analyst 2; or
• Two years of business process analysis experience and a bachelor's degree; or
• Six years of business process analysis experience; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
