Aerospace CNC Turning Technician

You’ll own your setup, make data‑driven adjustments on the fly, and collaborate across the shop to keep quality and throughput high.

Your impact

• Configure and operate CNC/lathe equipment to execute turning, facing, drilling, threading, and grooving with consistency across metals and alloys.
• Translate engineering drawings and technical instructions into a clear machining plan with defined dimensions and tolerances.
• Prepare workholding: align, fixture, and clamp parts securely to safeguard accuracy and part integrity.
• Choose and install the best tooling; set offsets along with optimal speeds, feeds, and depths of cut for the job at hand.
• Track tool condition, surface finish, and size control; tune parameters proactively to sustain precision and efficiency.
• Execute routine equipment care—cleaning, lubrication, and tooling changes—to maximize uptime.
• Engage with engineers, supervisors, and peers to resolve issues and enhance machining processes.

What sets you up for success

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a lathe operator or similar manufacturing role (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications accurately, including tolerances and machining requirements.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges to confirm dimensions.
• Understanding of cutting tool types/geometries and their best‑use scenarios; confident tool selection and installation.
• Demonstrated capability with turning processes—facing, drilling, threading, grooving—to yield accurate, high‑quality results.
• Routine maintenance know‑how: cleaning, lubrication, and tooling swaps to keep machines performing.

Compensation and shifts

The salary range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00 per hour – We have day shifts and night shift available (5:30PM-2:00AM).
