Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in related specialty preferred License: VA license pending accepted Certifications: BLS preferred, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry. The unit consists of 17 beds and has a patient ratio of 1:4. The unit receives patients from various sources, such as the Emergency Department and Medical ICU. Patient diagnoses include diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, and tubes. Shifts are scheduled for nights with every other weekend required. Candidates must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed. Support for continued education is available. The work environment fosters professional growth and development. Team members participate in interdisciplinary rounding to enhance care quality. Clinical practices emphasize patient safety and effective care delivery.
