Dental Assistant

Job Title: Dental Assistant Department: Dental Clinic Reports To: Clinical Dental Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Safety Sensitive: Yes Job Summary: Provides support to dental staff to increase efficiency and ability to provide patient care. Responsibilities Assist with dental procedures and documentation. Perform dental x-rays. Maintain infection control techniques. Work with minimal direction. Carry out any other duties assigned by Clinical Dental Director. Participate in and model SVdP's Culture of Philanthropy, ensuring volunteers feel welcomed and appreciated. Required Skills & Abilities Training as a Dental Assistant. Ability to work with volunteers and students to support the mission of St. Vincent de Paul. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Experience using the operating system Dentrix (preferred). Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Experience working as a chairside assistant (preferred). Physical Requirements: Able to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach and lift up to 30 pounds.
